Field specific safety rules:
(1) All flying is to take place on runway side of the flight stations.
(2) All pilots must fly at the flight stations.
(3) All planes must be restrained during startup.
(4) no unrestrained taxing is allowed behind the flight stations, Free
taxing is allowed only to the right or left of the combined flight stations
area.
(5) No engines to be run in the shelter area, including electric. (this
is specific to Waymer)
(6) DO NOT turn on your radio until you KNOW the frequency is clear and
be sure to pin up! (this does NOT apply to 2.4 gig radios).
Instructions for Charlotte Motor Speedway:
If you are the first to arrive please unlock the
the "club House" and remove the frequency board and chairs.
The first aid kit and fire extinguisher
can remain inside. If you are the last to leave please put the club
equipment back in the "club House" and lock it.
The combo for the lock
can be obtained from one of the club officers.
Please keep all trash in the two trash cans and
please keep the field clean. NO household trash in the cans please.
The Management at
Charlotte Motor Speedway has asked us to chase away anybody who goes down the access road to
the bottom of the campground (excluding track staff of course) If the
interlopers give you ANY static just let the track security know, you will
see their building on the left as you drive to our field.
ALL flight is to take place between the flight
stations and the landfill to the east. NEVER fly over the track area or the
buildings to the south.
This is an AMA chartered field. ALL AMA rules
apply. You MUST have a current AMA membership and a membership in FAPA to
fly at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
